My two greatest passions in life are animals and painting. As a lifelong animal lover (our home is filled with beloved pets!), I understand the special bond between pets and their people. Each pet has a unique personality, and my goal is to capture that special connection in a one-of-a-kind hand-painted portrait.
I have completed over 1,000 pet paintings and truly love creating every single one. As a formally trained artist with a Fine Art degree and a published artist, I bring years of experience, attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling through art. My artwork can be found as canvas prints through many major online and brick-and-mortar retailers including Hobby Lobby, Home Goods and Kirklands.
About Your Custom Pet Portrait
Your portrait will be hand painted using professional acrylic paints on premium canvas. Each piece is created individually from your favorite photo, capturing your pet’s expression, personality, and unique features.

Smaller canvas sizes are approximately 7/8" deep, while larger sizes are approximately 1.5" deep.
Realistic Style Portrait Option
This is my realistic pet painting option. I carefully focus on your pet’s features, expression, and personality. A high-resolution photo is important for capturing the finest details.
Important Details
Currently, I offer headshot-style portraits of one pet only. I have found this allows me to dedicate more time and attention to your pet’s individual personality and gives you the best value for your investment.
Creating Your Portrait
- Choose your canvas size and style.
- Send your favorite photos of your pet. (See important PHOTO TIPS below)
- I carefully hand paint your portrait on canvas.
- Your finished artwork is packaged and shipped with care.
Completion Time
Please allow approximately 2–6 weeks for completion. Because every portrait is individually hand painted, timing may vary depending on my current workload. Feel free to contact me before ordering for the most accurate estimated completion date.

VERY IMPORTANT Photo Tips:
- Photograph from the pet’s eye level or below. Photos of the pet sitting with the camera at pet’s eye level work best. Photos standing over the pet typically do not work well for paintings.
- Focus on the pet’s face, especially the eyes.
- NO FLASH; photos in natural light make the best paintings.
- Make sure you have a good resolution photos (zoom in after taking the photo and make sure the photo doesn't pixelate). If you are interested in the detailed style, lighting and resolution are extremely important.
- Keep in mind I go nearly exactly by your photo for your pet's expression, posture, etc.. so make sure your photo represents the 'look' you would like for your painting. Thanks!
